Upcoming Spa – licious Events You’ll Want to Attend

10 01 2008

Here’s to creating connections. It’s great to be back for some upcoming event announcements that welcome both new and old spa enthusiasts and professionals. It may be apparent in previous posts that I am an individual who believes in the lucidweb.pngpower of real world relationship building, life long education and empowerment of world causes with charity support. With that introduction, I’ll make a quick review of some upcoming events myself and my associates will be hosting or presenting.

Keep in mind that with every event, such as these and others, you should be taking advantage of EVERY marketing opportunity that can be connected with it. For example, if you will be attending the Day Spa Expo, announce to your clientele that you will be looking for the newest trends and products to increase their spa experience. Schedule a post DSE event at your spa that showcases these items or training, and make it a social element that gets people to enter drawings, make instant bookings, and buy certificates. Want to get more involved? Align yourself with a local Las Vegas spa, and host on a social event or cocktail hour, offer your volunteer services to the Day Spa association staff, or another vendor you want to get to know better. Not sure how to do that? First off, just ask. Make your inquiry and propose what you have in mind. This is also a great way to find mentors, and take advantage of the power of alliances. This same mind set goes for other training classes for yourself, or your therapists. Ongoing education and training is a prime opportunity to create press releases, make announcements to your clients, media and industry.Go beyond a recent training, and make it your own, with a creative twist, such as finishing off with the chime and vibration of Tibetan singing bowls after a body treatment. If your interested in supporting charities, but either don’t have one of your own, or just can’t be part of one full time, take advantage of marketing events such as the CARE-Preston “Power of Women” promotions that supports women in African and across the world. Get exposure on the Beauty Show reality make over series, and apply to be a candidate or expert panelist. This is a great way to exercise your media skills, and showcase your company. If you need more ideas, and want to strategize, contact me directly. Check out more opportunities below.

As a bonus, here’s a great marketing article for review. “Effective Email Marketing Campaigns” by Len Hutton

Spa-licious Events!

February 5th, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Day Spa Expo – Las Vegas

You’ll be pleased to find us presenting a key business and management class called “Make Your Spa a Destination”. I’m excited about this presentation because it’s one of my favorites. I’ve spent a lot of time in resort and destination spas, and have seen the key details, and challenges that are encountered. However, since many day spas, and other spa concepts have not actively sought out the extension of pursing the destination market, or getting creative in blending destination concepts with day spa concepts, it was perfect timing for this topic. Not only will you be engaged, entertained, and learning, but you can join in for a chance to win your own spa destination retreat in Costa Rica. A give away worth $5,000.

Here’s what you’ll learn at “Make Your Spa A Destination”;

  • 7 Key success factors to apply to your blended spa
  • Defining the experiential client
  • Trends and their psychological and physical effects
  • Applying the tactical to the practical
  • Find new potential, revenue and markets
  • Hear case studies and interviews from owners/operators
  • Your questions answered!
